1. Practically identical to a Lap-Joint flange except it has a radius at the intersection of the bore and flange face
2. Flanges application:-

• Welding into Lap-Joint flange and Lap-Joint stud end are mated together in a assembly system
• No problem of bolt hole alignment because the flange can be rotated of swivel.
